Innovative prevention programming is provided through youth/adult education, leadership trainings, community mobilization, health and public safety initiatives and social marketing.
Since its inception in 1987, SPI has maintained its primary focus to prevent substance use and abuse, along with a broader spectrum of prevention programming available to schools, communities and the workplace. SPI uses a wide range of SAMHSA Model programs and a culturally based approach to emphasize resiliency and protective factors in all youth and families.
In the workplace, SPI offers PREVENTION WORKS! techniques to reduce workplace stress and alcohol and other drug use/abuse awareness. This cost-effective resource offers the employer and the employee strategies to reduce absenteeism, injuries, spiraling insurance claims, low productivity and poor employee morale.
