Monica Bermudez-Parsai, Ph.D is the School Program Director at Scottsdale Prevention Institute. Monica has a Doctorate in Social Work, and a Sociology degree with a concentration in Family and Adolescent Issues. Dr. Parsai has been working for the last 12 years at the Southwest Interdisciplinary Research Center at Arizona State University (a National Institutes of Health Center of Excellence) where she develops and tests programs geared to reduce and prevent youth risky behaviors and to increase the mental health of parents and children. She has also worked for the last 20 years with Arizona families in different capacities including as preventionist, program director, and workshop facilitator. In addition, Dr. Parsai has taught a variety of Human Behavior and Cultural Diversity classes at ASU.
